Interactive exhibition
In Autumn 2014 the Centre for Population Change hosted an interactive exhibition, which toured the UK. Designed in Europe, this exhibition highlighted how our population is changing.
What are your chances of living to 100? How do your early years, your family life, where you live, your lifestyle and your work affect these chances?
With one in three children born today expected to live to 100, these questions have never been more relevant.
Using the latest iPad-technology, the exhibition allowed visitors to explore up-to-the-minute research findings via interactive games, quizzes, pictures, interviews and easy-to-understand graphs and texts. Through ten topical stands, the exhibition considered how our changing population affects each part of the life course and dynamic infographics highlighted population trends in each local area. Staff from the University of Southampton were on hand to discuss the issues raised in the exhibition.
